You have scheduled your Level Test but something went wrong and you could not take it. We are sorry for the inconvenience. In this article we mention reasons test participants sometimes cannot successfully take their English Level Test with a teacher. We also explain what to do next.
Below are some issues that can prevent a Spot On Learning participant from successfully completing a scheduled English Level Test with a teacher. We also provide options for next steps if this has happened to you.
You can also choose to go to this 'Missed Level Test' form. If you provide us with information by answering the questions of the form we will be able to look into the issue and get back to you.
No worries. You can reschedule the test on EnglishCentral in exactly the same way you have scheduled it the first time. A link to the FAQ article where we explain how to schedule a Level Test is below.
This does not happen often because we provide our participants with login details. They have normally already been used to schedule the test. Please contact the Spot On Learning support team (chat, mail, whatsapp) and explain what (exactly) happened (error message?). A screenshot can help us find out what is wrong. You will receive instructions that will hopefully solve the issue fast.
This is usually a problem with the time zone settings. We see this issue happening when participants use an internet browser on their computer or mobile device, and have travelled to different time zones with their device. If possible please download the EnglishCentral app for Android or iOS/iPhone/iPad, and reschedule and take the test using the app.
It can happen that a teacher is a few minutes late. Please contact the Spot On Learning support team (chat, mail, whatsapp) and explain what happened. Please let us know the time you first entered EnglishCentral and the time you gave up and logged out of EnglishCentral or turned off your app/browser/device. We will contact our colleagues at EnglishCentral to find out what went wrong. Please also reschedule your test. If this is not possible, let the Spot On Learning support team know about this so they can fix it a.s.a.p.
If you ran into other issues at the time of your scheduled test and could not take it successfully, contact the Spot On Learning support team (chat, email, whatsapp) and provide as many details as you can about what exactly happened. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will get back to you as soon as possible.
You can reschedule your Level Test up to 1 hour prior to its start. If you miss your Level Test or you are unable to connect with your teacher on time, your session will be marked as "Missed" in your englishcentral.com account. After this is done, you will be able to schedule a new Level Test.
If you encounter issues you can always contact Spot On Learning's support team. If you send us mail we will normally respond soon. During some hours we will also be available to provide support by live chat and on WhatsApp.
Your Level (Up) Test will take place on EnglishCentral (website or app) in a virtual classroom. We ask you to login 5 minutes before the scheduled session time and go to the Live! Lessons section. Our experience is that if you take the test on a mobile device it is better to use the EnglishCentral app (for Android or iOS/iPhone). If you use the internet browser of your mobile device there can be problems with the date/time settings.
