I have a technical problem, something on the website or app does not work. What to do?

Troubleshooting technical issues

If you encounter a technical problem - something does not work as expected on my.spotonlearning.eu or EnglishCentral (web or app) - we recommend to first read our troubleshooting tips and try what is suggested. If this does not work or you need immedate assistance it helps alot if you collect some info that can help the Spot On Learning support or technical team understand and resolve the issue.

Doing these things solve many technical issues

There are many ways to solve technical problems, i.e., troubleshoot. Most of them will work on different websites and in different situations. This list provides the most common ways to find workarounds:

  • Try refreshing the page in your browser (look for the refresh icon* in your browser, better even to click it twice)
  • Try logging out and logging back in (on my.spotonlearning.eu, englishcentral.com or in the EnglishCentral mobile app)
  • Try clearing your cache and/or cookies (if you do not know how to do it, see instructions for clearing cache and cookies for popular browsers here)
  • Try using a different browser and/or device
  • If you have a problem with the EnglishCentral website try the EnglishCentral app on a mobile device (or the other way around if you are encountering a problem in the EnglishCentral mobile app: use a browser to go to the EnglishCentral.com website, using the same login details)

Next steps to take if you have tried the above

If none of the above helps, you can contact support@spotonlearning.nl for more help. It helps if you can provide the Spot On Learning Support Team with information about details of the problem, a screenshot or screen recording, some info about yourself (your email address) and the device and software you use.
