EnglishCentral is Spot On Learning's partner for learning English online with videos and advanced speech technology. If you study regularly for at least 6 weeks and use the learning methods the platform provides you are guaranteed to make progress. There are many study activities you can do on EnglishCentral. The methods are basically the same for the website (EnglishCentral.com) and the EnglishCentral app for mobile devices (iPhone/iOS and Android). To know more about them, read below.
The basic ways to study on EnglishCentral are
In most courses on EnglishCentral you will automatically go through these modes for each video in the course. At the end of each unit in a course you will be quizzed.
When working on a video you can choose to learn more words (in LEARN mode) and speak more lines (in SPEAK mode). Choosing more than the default words and signes suggested will slow you down. But in most cases studying slowly means you will remember more and make steady progress towards your goal.
On top of basic WATCH-LEARN-SPEAK modes, we also encourage you to regularly go to the personalized "Vocabulary" and "Speaking" sections of EnglishCentral and quiz yourself.
When you work on EnglishCentral, you receive immediate and automatic feedback from the system. This way you can improve and achieve your learning goals.
The sure way to make progress is to exercise regularly for at least 6 weeks. If you study 5 - 7 days a week for 30 minutes to an hour you are fine. This is much better than studying many hours on 1 or 2 days in a week.
