What do I need to work on my.spotonlearning.eu and englishcentral.com?

Using MySOL

• Everyhting on my.spotonlearning.eu can be accessed using a computer, tablet or smartphone with an Internet connection.
• If you are using a recent version of any popular Internet browser, you should be fine.
• Having the Internet connection of 128 kbps should be enough for your learning on my.spotonlearning.eu.

Using EnglishCentral

• If you have to study on englishcentral.com, you can do this through your computer, laptop or smartphone.
• You can either do this in a browser or the EnglishCentral app.
• To study on englishcentral.com, your device needs to be able to play and receive sound, i.e, it either needs to have a built-in or an external microphone.
• Having the Internet connection of 1 Mbps or higher is recommended to use englishcentral.com. However, it may partially work from the 256 kbps speed*.

What else do I need to have?

• Do you need to take the Level (Up) Test? You can do this in the classroom integrated into the EnglishCentral website and app.

* Wartsila/SAM did research in July 2017 to find out how our learning activities work using certain amounts of bandwidth. englishcentral.com stores videos and uses a real-time speech technology. As a result, having the Internet connection of 256 kbps means that you will need some patience to play and work with videos, but it can work. In their turn, learning activities on my.spotonlearning.eu are fast and nimble, so they require less speedy connection.
