All team members think individually of 5 responsibilities they have within the team. They write those down and attach two tasks related to the responsibility they have performed or should perform in any given month.
Then, all team members deliver those to the team leader/manager (not to each other). The team leader/manager collects all the tasks and responsibilities and randomly puts them in an Excel sheet, prints them out, and cuts them into tiny paper snippets of text, each containing one random responsibility and one random task.
Put them all in a box and host a team meeting. Let everyone bring a bowl or container with their name on it. Then, give the team 5 minutes to (1 by 1) read and put all the text in the corresponding team members bowl.
Have a conversation about wrongly attributed tasks and responsibilities, the notes that were left behind, and the people who receive less/more. Try to create as much clarity as you can during the evaluation.
