No, EnglishCentral is only usable online. In order to use EnglishCentral you need an internet connection of at least 1MB/second or faster.
While playing a video at EnglishCentral, you can disable the ‘Focused Speak Mode', so you learn to pronounce all phrases from the video. Click on "settings" (the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the video) and untick ‘Focused Speak Mode’.
On your 'class home' page at EnglishCentral you can see the dashboard with your goals and progress for a given period. By default the dashboard shows your progress for a week. Your 'default' week runs from Monday to Sunday. We have set a 'standard' weekly goal for you, so that you keep practicing every week to improve your English.
You watch and listen to videos and will receive assignments to type, speak or get asked questions about the video. Over one million users say that EnglishCentral is very intuitive, and that they understood how it worked from the first session on. When you work through the videos, the system will automatically give you feedback about your personal improvement and achievements.
